Leuca: Reviews & Ratings

In the heart of Williamsburg, tucked inside The William Vale, Leuca delivers something that’s increasingly rare in New York: a restaurant where the food, the room, and the hospitality align seamlessly. From arrival to departure, the experience felt considered and warm. Yes, the food is exceptional — but what elevates Leuca is the sincerity of the service. It’s genuine. Kind. Unforced. The kind of hospitality that makes you want to linger. The dining room itself is stunning. Bathed in perfectly calibrated lighting, it feels modern without tipping into Brooklyn cliché. The porcelain collection, the curated photography, the warm wood tones — everything feels intentional but not self-conscious. It’s sophisticated without being stiff. A destination dining room in its own right. We began with the Tuna Crudo — layered with crispy farro, bresaola, green olives, and chili. Bright, textural, and precise, it immediately set the tone. Balanced but assertive. The Sheep’s Milk Ricotta could easily have been familiar territory, but the addition of hot honey and crisp garlic transformed it. Sweet, savory, crunchy — it demanded attention. The shaved fennel salad with local apples, pistachio, and pecorino carried a note of nostalgia. It reminded me of my grandmother’s holiday table — the kind of dish that quietly anchors a meal without seeking praise. Andrew Carmellini’s Lasagna alla Caprese — burrata layered with tomato sugo — was a standout. It’s a dish that feels both rooted in tradition and elevated through restraint. Authentic, comforting, transportive. It makes you want to book the first flight to Sicily. But the dish that should never leave the menu: the Wood-Roasted Branzino with farro and uva conserva. Deeply flavor-forward, beautifully balanced, and confidently executed. It’s the kind of entrée that lingers in memory long after the table is cleared. You simply need to try it to understand. Leuca isn’t chasing trends. It’s delivering a fully realized experience. Elegant but approachable. Polished yet warm. In a neighborhood known for constant reinvention, Leuca feels enduring. A restaurant worth returning to — again and again.

Went last night with all the girlies to celebrate a birthday dinner and the entire experience felt elevated from start to finish. The ambiance is beautiful, cozy, chic, and perfect for a special night out. We felt spoiled the moment we sat down. Our server, Lorenzo, was truly exceptional. Next level service! He recommended the special for one of my friends and she loved it, and even convinced us to try something we were a little iffy about turns out, it ended up being one of our favorite dishes of the night. Trust him. He knows what he’s doing. The cosmos were delicious and the food was incredible, and by the end of the night I was so full and so happy. Everything flowed effortlessly, and the attention to detail made the whole dinner feel like a true celebration. Between the food, the vibe, and Lorenzo’s impeccable service, this was such a memorable night. Left feeling satisfied, taken care of, and already planning my return. Highly recommend for birthdays or any night you want to feel a little extra special

Had a fantastic dinner at Leuca! I started with the Warm Stuffed Marinated Olives with Marcona almonds — such a flavorful and elegant appetizer. Then I had the Black Shells pasta with ruby shrimp and local calamari — it was absolutely divine. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the pasta perfectly cooked, and the flavors so well balanced. The atmosphere is warm and stylish, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this place for a refined yet cozy Italian dining experience in Brooklyn.

Food is a bit mediocre and overpriced. ordered the lamb pasta, that was yummy. their chai latte is good. their chopped salad is ok, asked for no dressing and they included dressing- it was delicious but a bit sweet. had their steak spiedini with the salad, which is a nice protein add-on. overall, it was eh. ambiance was nice very warm and cozy in the main dining area. if sitting in the bar/lounge stay far away from the door in the winter.

We had a great experience at Leuca. The staff were very accommodating, even with us having our baby with us, which we really appreciated. One of the pasta dishes came out a bit too spicy at first, but they were quick to remake it without any fuss. The service was warm and attentive, and the food was delicious overall. Would definitely come back!

Decent food. It wasn’t like the best Italian food I have ever had but it was good. Branzino was cooked perfectly. Steak was decent quality, but not worth the price tag. Pasta was also decent. Enjoyed the fried calamari and grilled octopus. Pistachio cake was meh, but the olive oil ice cream was tasty. The blood orange sorbet was refreshing. Great ambiance. Amazing decor (just not sure about the pictures of kids on the wall; didn’t see the connection. It was weird). Service was excellent. I would try again. A bit pricey for what it is but expected.

Came here for dinner the other day with friends and loved it! We tried a few things - the honey ricotta, fennel salad, tomato and watermelon salad, margherita pizza, and black shells with calamari. The ricotta was great and paired incredibly well with the sesame/olive oily toasted bread. Loved how refreshing the tomato and watermelon salad was and loved the apples in the fennel salad. The wood-fired pizza was good though I'm curious about some of the other flavors. AND, I was a big fan of the black shells - the seafood was cooked perfectly! The patio and outdoor seating are lovely though I will say you'll hear the noises of Williamsburg and many a crowd passing through to get to Westlight presumably. The one tiny issue was the bug bites I acquired but I'm fairly sure that's a me problem...Service was timely and great! For dessert, we tried both the gelato sandwich and the pistachio cake with gelato (topped with olive oil) and the cake was definitely my favorite. The sandwich was good though the laminated/croissant-like dough was a little tough to cut through once a little cooler so maybe less of a shareable item and a good solo sweet instead?
